192 cars and stars showed up to compete for night number two of the Fall Brawl presented by Holtger Brothers Inc. The stage was set to close out the 2025 season in style. With seven divisions duking it out on the third mile speedway the fireworks at intermission were matched only by the fireworks on the track.
The Seubert Calf Ranches Late model feature kicked off with Mitch McGrath pacing the early laps while pole sitter, Lukas Postl, and Brett Swedberg fell into a heated battle for second. Swedberg dispatched Postl and set his sights on McGrath. As lap five completed, Swedberg grabbed the lead and never looked back. When the checkers flew, Swedberg notched the victory, Postal was second, Joe Reuter third, Justin Schmidt fourth, and “Mighty” Mike Mullen completed the top five.
The Professional Plating Inc IMCA Modified feature had Cody Schroeder shoot to the lead on the opening lap from his pole position. While Schroeder looked to notch his second win in as many nights Dancin’ Lance Arneson used an early restart to launch from fifth to second and applied immediate pressure to the leader. Arenson found the high side to his liking while Schroeder worked the bottom. Despite his best efforts Areson could not pull even with Schroeder as the 20 car used every inch of the racing surface to hold off the hard charging Arneson.
As lap ten came to a close Arneson saw an opportunity to cross over underneath Schroeder coming out of turn four. The move resulted in contact on the front stretch sending Schroeder into the outside retaining wall and finally to a rest in turn one. Arneson was originally called for the caution and was due to be put to the back of the field but in a show of sportsmanship, with his car balanced on two wreckers, Schroeder tapped out and took blame for the wreck.
By the halfway mark Arneson continued to set a blistering pace out front, Mike Wedelstadt ran second, Tony Wedelstadt third, Benji LaCrosse fourth, and Adam Crapser fifth. Mike Wedelstadt pressured Arneson on the low side and the pair waged a furious battle until caution slowed the pace once again with 3 laps to go. LaCrosse took advantage of the restart to move past Wedelstadt into second and Arneson again saw pressure on the inside, this time from the 54 car of LaCrosse. As the double checkers flew it was Arneson able to hold off Lacrosse and capture a popular victory with the crowd. LaCrosse settled for a hard charge from 15th on the starting grid to finish second, Mike Wedelstadt was third, Tony Wedelstadt fourth, and Seymour’s own, Brian Mullen was fifth.
The Monroe Truck Equipment\K&E Sales and Service IMCA Stock Car A main event kicked off with Kenny Richards grabbing the early lead just as he had a week prior. Nick Buckarma wasted no time in snatching the runner up spot and climbed right to the back bumper of Richards. That duo was quickly joined by the 99 of “Mighty” Mike Mullen and the trio went side by side by side in a three car battle for the top spot. Lap five saw Mullen secure the lead and he began to walk away from the field. Caution flew on lap 15 though as Mullen clipped the wall in turn four and his night would be finished on the business end of a wrecker.
The ensuing restart saw Buckarma lead newly crowned 2025 point champ, Brett Wenzel, Richards, Chase Parker, and Dan Michonski back to racing speeds. Richards, ever the wily veteran, slid through the middle on the restart and captured second. He was unable to move forward any further before the checkers flew. Buckarma held on for the win, Richards was second, Kyle Frederick completed a furious charge from 20th on the the starting grid to finish third, Wenzel was fourth, and Michonski settled for fifth.
The Trailer Express IMCA Northern Sport Mod A main event had AJ Springborn grab the lead at the drop of the green three times as opening lap cautions broke up each initial attempt to start the race. The yellow flags were not limited to the early stages of the race but Springborn was able to hold off a late race charge from night one winner, Max Oreskovich, to capture the win in the caution marred event. Oreskovich settled for second, Jared Spaulding was third, Tanner Pari fourth, and “Hacksaw” Jerry Duggan rounded out the top five.
The Vettings Customs Rigs and Rides Unified Dirt Street Stock feature had three different leaders over the first three laps. Mark Haskins grabbed the lap one lead from the pole position while one of the Escanaba invaders, Jason Piron, wrestled away the top spot for lap two before surrendering it to Kyle Gennett on the third circuit. Gennett held off a hard charge from Derek Moede in the later stages of the race to salt away the win. Moede came home second, Brady Ascherien was third, Austin Steinke backed up his night one win with a strong fourth, and Piron shuffled back to fifth at the checkers.
The Midwest Equipment Dock and Lift Service IMCA Sport Compact feature had Morgan LaPlant lead the early portion of the event and looked like a strong candidate to lock up a feature win. Jesse Schulte had other plans and he worked into 2nd by lap ten after starting 12th on the opening grid. Schulte shot into the lead on the outside on lap thirteen and held on over the final laps as the event was shortened to 15 laps as curfew loomed on the horizon. LaPlant was second, TJ Everard third, Brett DePrez fourth, and Jeremy Czarapata was fifth.
The Holtger Brothers Inc Unified Grand Nationals made their first appearance of the season at the speedway and the fireworks were hot and heavy for the guest division. Marshall Plate grabbed the early lead while Jake Richards quickly piloted his 8R car into second and then into the lead on lap four. Ethan Beattie, piloting the late Terry Van Roy’s car, fell back initially but found grip on the high side to move back to third on lap five. Beattie continued to hustle around the top and used that momentum to secure the top spot on lap seven. Pressure came quickly for the new leader and Jake Richards was joined by Jeff Richards and they fell into a three wide scrum for the lead with Beattie. Beattie faded from the battle at the front and left the fight up to the dueling Richards. As the pair of Richards worked through lap traffic it was Jeff who was able to grab the win, Jake settled for second, Ryan Minster third, Mike King fourth, and Beattie held on to finish fifth.
