(Seymour, WI) September 1, 2023-Championship night presented by Klink Equipment and Elite Coatings Inc- 94 drivers checked in to battle at Outagamie Speedway. There were 21 IMCA Modifieds, 26 IMCA Stock Cars, 17 IMCA Sport Mods, 15 IMCA Sport Compacts and 15 Unified Street Stocks.
In IMCA Modified action it was Mike Mullen swiping the lead away from Mike Wedelstadt with 4 laps remaining to score the win. Jayden Schmidt placed a hard fought second, Marcus Yarie was third and Konnor Wilinski completed the top four. Lucas Lamberies took top honors, claiming the Modified championship.
Dan Sell Jr jumped to the point of the IMCA Stock car feature in his Ford power machine with Travis Van Straten giving chase. For 20 laps that’s how it stayed as Sell went wire-to-wire, scoring a clean sweep of the night. Van Straten was second, Eric Mahlik took third and Austin Jansen placed fourth. Tyler Wilson was the champion of the class.
After securing the IMCA Sport Mod track title, Cory Kemkes was victories for the second time in 2023. Kemkes took the lead on lap four and never looked back, cruising to the win. JJ Vanderloop made a late race charge to place second, Coy Vlies was third and Jake Carpenter rounded out the top four.
Paul Diefenthaler captured his 8th feature win of the season along with the Unified Street Stock championship. Trey Van Straten made a late race pass to place second, Justin Jacobsen took third and TJ Everard was fourth.
Thomas Schulte jumped in a borrowed car and drove it all the way to victory lane in the IMCA Sport Compacts. With a second-place finish Cody Booth was crowned the 2023 champion, Al Cottrell placed third and David Cox completed the top five.
