This Friday, May 12, fans at Outagamie Speedway will see one of the nation’s top INEX Legend Car touring groups do battle, when the Wisconsin Legends Racing Dirt Series (WLRDS) rolls into the Seymour, Wisconsin speed plant. The class will supplement an already stout card featuring four classes of IMCA racing and Unified Street Stocks.
WLRDS is known for its parity, bringing wheel to wheel action, with three-wide racing abound. In 2022, the series saw seven different winners in their 15-race schedule.
Expect to see teenage drivers taking that next step, veteran pilots from other disciplines and some who’ve raced Legends exclusively for many years. Drivers from WLRDS are annually ranked among the top ten in INEX National Points and the group has spawned several INEX National Champions over the years.
Area drivers expected to compete are the father and son duo of Mike and Cal Swenson from Hortonville and Green Bay’s Rick Brown.
